Tintype of an armed US Civil War soldier. The soldier stands at Order Arms with a Springfield musket with bayonet fixed. He wears the regulation M1858 dress coat and has turned up the brim of his forage cap. The photographer tinted gold the buttons and the outline of his belt plate and cartridge box belt plate. The sixth plate size image is housed in one half of a leatherette case with some scuff marks. The tintype is in overall great shape with one scratch across the front. Condition I-
