Rare British Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) light cavalry sword, with leather scabbard. The HAC is one of the oldest military units in the world, and has served as artillery, infantry, and cavalry. HAC swords are rarely encountered, and this is a highly decorated example. Much of the blade is covered with fine engraving, including the crest of the Honourable Artillery Company, depictions of trophy arms, floral decoration, and the GR Royal Cypher of King George III. The sword dates around 1800-1820. The blade and hilt are in general good condition, but the blade has patches of pitting (some deep). The scabbard is in good condition with pliable leather and brass mounts with most of the original gilt worn off. Condition II-
