Honor Cross of World War I (“Hindenburg Cross”) with swords, including the award citation. Instituted in July 1934 by Reichs President Field Marshall von Hindenburg to honor participants in the World War. The class with swords was for combatants. The medal is bronze wash over iron with a little wear to the highlights, marked PSL on the back (Paul Schulze and Co., Lübeck). Short clean ribbon. The printed certificate is A5 size (approx. 150mm x 210mm). It has been folded and has slight wear marks. The award information is hand written and the certificate is signed in ink by an official in Essen. Hard to find the medal with the certificate. Condition II
