Honor Cross of the German Mother (“Mothers Cross”) First Class in gold, Established by Hitler in 1938.  The gold class was awarded to mothers who had given birth to eight or more children for the Fatherland (I’d say this would deserve a gold medal!).  The cross is mounted on a short length of ribbon. Great gold finish, but there is a chip in the enamel on the lower arm. Condition II
